Ronald Weaver

Ronald Weaver, age 71, of California, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, Mo. He was born December 16, 1948, in Marion, Indiana, the son of Merrill and Eileen Heiser Weaver. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1968. From 1969 to his honorable discharge in 1971, Ronald proudly served his county in the Army, serving a tour overseas during the Vietnam War. Ronald worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Larry Apperson Construction in Eldon, Missouri. In his retirement, Ronald would occasionally work for The Stark Brothers of Eldon, Mo. Ronald was married to Ruth (Carver) Miller on May 10, 1996, in Miami, Okla. He was a member of the California Eagles #4027, Chapter F, and Chapter G Motorcycle Groups. Some of Ronald's favorite hobbies were hunting, riding his Honda Goldwing with Ruth, and attending gun shows with his buddy, Jon Whitney. Ronald loved spending time with family, friends, and being a grandfather. Whatever event his grandchildren were involved with, Ronald was there to cheer them on. He was often having coffee with fellow veterans at the Gathering Place and was a regular at Nic Nac. Ronald is survived by his wife, Ruth Weaver; son, Ronald Weaver Jr., (Melissa); son, Scott Weaver (Misty); daughter, Mindy Hedge (Greg); daughter, Tammy Yarnell (Mack); son, Michael Miller (Tracy); 12 grandchildren, Colton, Elayna, Hunter and Cylee Weaver; Lilli Porter; Carsten and Lenora Hedge; Gwen and Gatlin Yarnell; Mercedes, Alexis, and Callie Miller; two sisters, Becky Elliott and Jennifer West; a brother, Michael Weaver; and his faithful and loyal canine companion, Girl. Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Weaver; a brother-in-law, Greg West; and one grandchild. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service with the Memorial Service following at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeremy Barnard officiating.
