Daisy Lucille Brown, 71, of Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1948, in Middletown, Missouri, a daughter of the late George and Nettie (Bentley) Smith. She was united in marriage to Arthur Brown, July 1, 1989, in Jefferson City. Daisy was a proud graduate of Stephens College. For many years she worked for the Missouri Safety Council until transitioning to Preferred Family Health Care. Through her work as a substance abuse counselor she aided many men and women overcome their addiction issues. She was a devoted member of Log Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia. She was very active on many committees and was the church Recorder. Her presence will be greatly missed by her church family. Daisy was a social butterfly who had many friends and acquaintances. Most of all, she was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother to her and Arthur's children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 30 years: Arthur Brown; children: Audra Golson (Jerome) and Arthur Brown II (Kaitlin); brother: Stan Smith (Sue); grandchildren: Shelby Allen (Regis), Jerome Golson Jr., Jordan, Roman Taitum and Maisyn Brown; great-grandchildren: Harper and River Allen. Daisy was preceded in death by her son: Christopher Wyatt; siblings: Ora Mae Rice, Mabel Owings, George smith Jr., James Smith, Byron Smith and Calvin Smith.
