James "Jim" Koetting

James "Jim" Koetting, 80, of Henley, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Miller County Nursing & Rehab. in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He was born April 30, 1939, in Mary's Home, Missouri, the son of the late Lawrence and Hilda (Rehagen) Koetting. On June 18, 1960, in Mary's Home, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Martha (Kempker) Koetting who survives of the home. Jim was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church of Mary's Home, Mo. He was also a former member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 46 years of sobriety. He enjoyed farming and was employed as a truck driver with A.B.P in Jefferson City, Mo. for 20 years and a school bus driver at Cole R-5 Eugene Schools for 19 years. He retired to care for his farm. Other survivors include: children, Duane Koetting (Marsha) of Eugene, Mo., Doris Call (Mike) of Mary's Home, Mo., Dennis Koetting (Machelle) of Hickory Hill, Mo., Brenda Braun (Dale) of Osage Bend, Mo., Mitch Koetting (Andrea) of Jefferson City, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Jamie, John, Landon, Andrew, Malayna, Levi, Caleb, Cameron and Clark; four great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Matthew, Amelia and Benjamin; sister, Norma Jean Lepper of Eugene, Mo.; brothers, Bernard Koetting (Margaret) of Mary's Home, Mo., Alfred Koetting (Janet) of Osage Bend, Mo., Dave Koetting (Elvira) of Mary's Home, Mo., Tom Koetting of Henley, Mo., Larry Koetting (Eleanore) of Mary's Home, Mo., Ronnie Koetting (Carolyn) of Mary's Home, Mo.; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Koetting and Carolyn Koetting An infant son, Danny Koetting; two brothers, Wayne and Kenny Koetting; one brother-in-law, Walter Lepper; and two sisters-in-law, Sophia and Lee Koetting preceded him in death. Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church of Mary's Home, Mo. Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 16, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with Msgr. Robert A. Krwicki officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery. Memorials in his name are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery Fund or to the Donor's Choice. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
