Sally Chapman

Sally Chapman, 69, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at The Timbers in Holts Summit. She was born on December 28, 1949, in Brazito, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elmer and Helen (Melcher) Chapman. Sally was a graduate of Helias High School. She was employed with the State of Missouri, Department of Social Services until her retirement. She also worked part-time at Schnuck's. Sally enjoyed shopping for antiques, reading, gardening and collecting things. She loved animals, especially dogs. Most of all, Sally liked to cook for her family and cherished the times spent with them. Sally is survived by her son: Heath Chapman (Mary) of Holt; siblings: Beverly Schnieders of Jefferson City and Donald Chapman (Jeanne) of Des Moines, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Kevin Schnieders (Karen), Trisha Behm (Rick), Kim Schrimpf (Steve), Miki Nichols (John), Matt Schnieders, Tara Schnieders, Jaime Fann (Michael), Tracie Johnson (Kevin), Tess Kinzle (Greg), Shawn Chapman (Mariah), and Cory Chapman (Kristy); and many other family and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law: Fred Schnieders. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Kevin Drew officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Vitae Foundation.
