Charity Ulunma Opara

Charity Ulunma Opara, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at her home. She was born August 16, 1938, in Nguru, Abo Mbaise, Nigeria the daughter of Nwanyiaru Margarette Nnosike Umunnakwe and Peter Benson Onuoha. She was married to Augustine Opara in Nigeria. She moved to America in 1994, and lived with her sons and daughters. Charity worked as a dietician for Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Augustine Opara, Nigeria; four children, Daniel (Rosemary) Opara, Grace Alozie, Geophrey Opara, and Kelechi (Paul) Anunobi, all of Jefferson City; daughter-in-law, Edith Opara, Jefferson City; and grandchildren, Chibueze Alozie, Uche Opara, Charity Alozie, Ezinne Opara, Cyma Opara, and Crystal Opara. Visitation will be 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Ulakwo-Owerri, Nigeria. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
