Mary Ann Schulte

Mary Ann Schulte, age 76, of St. Louis, Mo., passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019, due to brain cancer. She was born in St. Thomas, Mo. on Oct. 19, 1942, the daughter of Lawrence and Regina (Bax) Schulte. She was married to William Kessinger, who preceded her in death on May 6, 1998. She was a graduate of Helias High School. After receiving her Master of Social Work degree Mary Ann worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker in various hospitals in the St. Louis area. She retired from Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital. Mary Ann loved European travel, reading, gardening and sewing. She loved working with rescue animals and was never without a dog. Mary Ann is survived by two brothers, Stanley (Mary Lee) Schulte of Swansea, Ill., Lawrence (Sheryl) Schulte of Lake Mary, Fla.; and a sister, Lucinda Borgmeyer of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her husband; brother-in-law, James Borgmeyer; and niece, Jenifer Borgmeyer. She will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Her remains will be interred with her late husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Expressions of sympathy may be made to your local Humane Society.
