Sandra K. Templeton

Sandra K. Templeton, of Independence Mo., passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Northcare Hospice House. Sandy was the daughter of Ewing Eugene and Rita Marie (Lawrence) Williams. She was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. and a 1963 graduate of East High school. She had been employed by Exide Battery Sales when she met the love of her life, Wayne Templeton, whom she married in 1976. They enjoyed a wonderful 22 years together until his death in 1998. Their son, Dustin Templeton, was born in 1981, and died in 1982. She graduated from Hamilton Business College and was a member of Phi Beta Lamda. She had also worked at Burstein- Applebee's, Emery Bird Thayer, American Fashions, Montgomery Wards and Mid-Continent Imports. She retired from General Services Administration after 20 years of service. Sandy had been a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church for 20 years. Preceded in death by her husband, parents; son; stepson, Terry Templeton; nephew, Bret Williams and Uncle, John Lawrence along with aunts Helen Courtney, and Virginia Dennis. Sandy is survived by her beloved dog, Chloe; brother, Brad (Linda) Williams, Odessa, Mo. and sister, Jennifer Cameron of Pooler, Ga.; nieces and nephewsm Teresa, William, Bart, Brad II, Brent, Dawn, Danielle and Priscilla; numerous great-nieces and nephews and cousins, along with special aunts, Mary and Martha and stepsons, Mike Templeton, Gary Nelson and Daryl Nelson. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sandy's name to Gospel Lighthouse Church, 1300 Askew Ave, Kansas City, MO 64127. Sandy was buried on Monday, February 11, in Mt.
