Jimmy Ray Guinnip, age 79, of Tuscumbia, Mo., passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born September 22, 1939, in Evening Shade, Arkansas, the son of Woodrow and Birdie (Emmerich) Guinnip. He was united in marriage to Doris JoAnn Brand on May 31, 1962, and she survives at the home. He attended Evening Shade School. Jimmy was a United States Army Veteran, a farmer and worked for Mo. Highway Department until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending as much time as he could with his great-grandchildren and family. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered. Survivors include: wife, Doris of the home; two daughters, Patty (Eric) Franks, of Tuscumbia, Mo. and Rita (Chuck) Shoemaker, of Auxvasse, Mo.; four brothers, Charles (Erika) Guinnip, of Texarkana, Arkansas, Rex (Joyce) Guinnip, Ronnie (Audrey) Guinnip, and Roger (Christine) Guinnip, all of Evening Shade, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Mel Guinnip, also of Evening Shade, Arkansas.; four grandchildren, Ben (Shelby) Franks, Ethan (Taylor) Franks, Laura (TJ) Saffold, and Larry Shoemaker and five great-grandchildren, as well as a boatload of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Joseph Guinnip; one sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Dee Lashley; and one brother, Fred Guinnip. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, February 13, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home, Russellville, Mo. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Russellville, with pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery.
