Richard "Rich" W. Sieg

Richard "Rich" W. Sieg, age 69, of Jefferson City, formerly of Bonnots Mill, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. Rich was born December 6, 1949, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Chester C. Sieg Sr. and Elizabeth (Linnenbrink) Sieg. He attended St. Louis of France Grade School and Fatima High School. Rich was employed at Scholastic in Jefferson City for several years. He was a member of the St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill. Rich enjoyed bowling, playing cards and spending time with his family. Rich is survived by: three brothers, Gerald Mantle and his wife Nancy of Taos, Leo "Bud" Sieg and his wife Shirley of Jefferson City, and Bruce Sieg and his wife Jennifer of Bonnots Mill; four sisters, Helen Ferguson and her husband Jim of Linn, Patty Grothoff and her husband Mike of Olathe, Kan., Mary Huhn and her husband Bob of Koelztown, and Doris Dolce and her husband Chas of Jefferson City; one sister-in-law, Rita Mantle of Bonnots Mill; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Mantle and Chester Sieg Jr.; one sister, Cathy Rehagen; and one nephew, Joshua Dolce. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill with Fr. Callistus Okoroji as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Louis of France Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Association or St. Louis of France Cemetery Fund.
