Stephen P. Sostrom

Mr. Stephen P. Sostrom, age 40 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Capital Region Medical Center. Stephen was born April 30, 1978 in Middleton, Ohio, the son of John David and Bozena Kosak Sostrom. He was married in September of 2011 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Cindy Bruce, who survives. He moved to the Jefferson City area in 2009, where he worked for Wal-Mart as an associate. When not working at Wal-Mart, Stephen enjoyed playing video games and reading books. He also loved to cook and often posted his recipes to Facebook. He made many friends while working at Wal-Mart. He was very close to his dad, John, plus his brother and sister, but most importantly he was crazy about his two boys, they talked almost every day. Survivors include: his wife, Cindy of Fulton, Mo.; two sons, Damian Sostrom and Dante Sostrom, both of Fulton, Mo.; his father, John and step-mother, Julie Sostrom of Beavercreek, Ohio; one sister, Maria Lingg and her husband Andrew of Rochester Hills, Mich.; one brother, Ben Sostrom of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bozena Kosak Sostrom, and one brother, Jordan Sostrom. A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later time.
