Anne Linn

Anne E. Linn, 85, of Columbia, Mo., passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Columbia. Anne was born October 5, 1932, in Milton, Mass. to Harold D. and Martha S. (Washburn) Brown. She graduated from Milton High School and went to College in Florida for retailing. While in college, she met James E. Linn Jr. and they married on December 27, 1953, in Milton. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, and playing bridge. She was a member of the Mall Walkers and volunteered with the Auxiliary League for a hospital in Texas and University in Columbia. She was a homemaker and mother to three children, Mary J. (MJ) Sessler, James E. Linn III, and Elizabeth A. (Mark) Heape. She had five grandchildren, Jesse Sessler, SueAnne Adams, Clayton Sessler, MaryBeth Linn, and Rachael Heape; several great-grandchildren; a nephew, Rob Smith; and niece, Deb Calder. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister Lois Smith; bother-in-law, B.D. Smith; bother, "baby boy,"; sister, Phyllis; and son-in-law, Phillip M. Sessler. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Memorial Park Cemetery 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
