Helen F. Russell

Helen F. Russell, age 69 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Jefferson City Manor. Helen was born March 26, 1949 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of William H. and Mary Louise Minor Russell. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Helen graduated from Jefferson City High School. She was employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue for many years and made countless friends in the Truman Building during that time. Helen enjoyed watching television and listening to rock music. She was known for her baking skills and will be remembered for her amazing homemade desserts that she made for friends and family. Most importantly, she cherished time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia "Pattie" Stout and her husband Joe of St. Joseph, Mo.; one brother, Richard Russell and his wife Alita of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Linda Harmon of Ashland, Mo.; four grandchildren, Landen Russell, Kylie Hilgert, Cadin Stout, and Krystal Stout; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, and step-father, Allen Byrns, two sisters, Betty Hillen and Cleta Harrison, one grandson, Tracesin Stout, and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Harmon Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2018. A memorial service will be conducted 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Freeman Chapel with Celebrant Gara Loskill officiating.
