Dr. Ogugua Anunoby

Dr. Ogugua Chigbogu Damian Anunoby, 66, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018, at his residence. He was born August 15, 1952, in Akwa Village in Nigeria, the son of Marcel Nwanlzwe and Cecila Adaeze (Ifeacho) Anunobi. Dr. Anunoby attended St. Mary's Primary School, Christ King College, and later received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Nsuka-Enugu; Maters of Science from the University of Strathclyde, England; Masters of Business Administration from the University of Glasgow, Scotland; and Doctor of Philosophy degree from Brunel University in England. He was united in marriage in 1988, in London, to Grace Ndidi Okereke, who preceded him in death on May 12, 1998. Dr. Anunoby was a lecturer at the University of Lagos, an executive at the African Central Bank in Lagos, and a lecturer at Oxford Brooks University. From 2001-2018, he was a professor for Lincoln University in Jefferson City. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Survivors include seven children, Adaeze Anunoby, London, UK; Adaora Anunoby, London, UK; Chigbogu Anunoby, Atlanta, Ga.; Ogonna Anunoby, Columbia, Mo.; Ogugua Anunoby Jr., Toronto, Canada; Ifeoma Anunoby, Columbia; Olisamaka Anunoby, Jefferson City; and two sisters, Grace Ugoye Nwobi and Sister Ursula Anunobi. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City, with the Rev. Simeon Etonu and the Rev. Msgr. Donald Lammers concelebrating.
