Robert Brian McElhany

Mr. Robert Brian McElhany, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1949, in St. Joseph, Mo.., a son of the late Jackson W. and Mary Elizabeth "Digan" McElhany. On October 16, 1971, he was united in marriage to Rita Elizabeth Hamm who survives. In addition to his wife Rita; he is survived by three children: Elizabeth Freshour (Charles) of St. Louis, Mo., Thomas C. McElhany of St. Louis, Mo., Michael McElhany (Miriam) of Jefferson City, Mo; grandchildren: Maranelle McElhany, Kathryn Freshour, William Freshour; one sister: Meg McElhany of Springfield, Mo.; one brother: Richard McElhany of Benicia, Calif. He was preceded in death by one sister: M. Kathryn "Kit" McElhany. A Celebration of Roberts life will be held October 14, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at McClung Park in Jefferson City.
