Elizabeth Driskell

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Driskell, 86, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Heisinger Bluffs, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 21, 1931, in St. Louis, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Isabella (Buerck) Moore. Betty was married on August 5, 1950, in St. Louis to Gilbert R. Driskell, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of St. John's Catholic High School. She was a member of TOPS and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville. Betty was a hard working stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, cooking, playing cards and bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by her four sons: Michael Driskell (Kathleen) of Jefferson City, Stephen Driskell (Tracy) of St. Louis, Kevin Driskell (Jennifer) of Owensville and Brian Driskell (Pamela) of Chamois; 13 grandchildren: Jason, Melissa, Kathleen, Kevin Jr., Matthew, Andrew, Daniel, Ryan, Maria, Elizabeth, Adaline, Leanne and Madison; 14 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Alana, Layla, Jaiden, Isaiah, Aries, Gabriel, Leo, MacKenzee, Addison, Hailey, Connor, Abigail and Harley; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her twin sister: Helen Mary Fredrick. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Graveside Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2018 at Countryside Memorial Gardens, Highway 28, Owensville, Missouri.
