Beverly Burlbaw

Beverly S. Burlbaw, 77, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 9, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on July 1, 1941, in Jefferson City; a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary "Nadine" Rogers Prenger. Bev was married on September 16, 1961, to her high school sweetheart, John Burlbaw who survives at the home. Bev graduated from Helias Catholic School in 1960 and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos. Bev worked as a Licensing Technician for the State Board of Accountancy. After she retired, she continued working part time for the Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Bev loved being around family and friends, and had hosted many events at the river throughout the years. No matter the crowd, she always made sure there was food in the cabinets and beverages in the fridge. She loved fishing and going out on the boat. When not on the river, she'd like to travel and frequent the casinos. She enjoyed golfing with her friends and spoiling her grandchildren as well as her dog Sophie Sue. She'd frequently gift her famous salsa and pickles to friends and family, but best of all, she made sure her children and grandchildren would have the best memories when they were with her. Along with being survived by her husband John, Bev is also survived by one son, Joe (Tammy) Burlbaw of Taos; one daughter, Julie (Doug) Adrian of Holts Summit; one brother, William (Carolyn) Prenger of Jefferson City; five grandchildren: Kelly Adrian, Clayton (Amber) Adrian, Katie (Josh) Watts, Sam Burlbaw and Ross Burlbaw and her first great-grandchild that was born on her day of passing, Julian Douglas Adrian. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a celebration of life following at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment in Resurrection Cemetery will be held privately at a later date.
