Linda Tindle, 68, of Hallsville, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Boone Hospital. Linda was born November 7, 1949 in California, to Raymond and Anna Ruth Rohrbach Gerhart. She was a 1967 graduate of California High School. She worked as a secretary before she and Ben Tindle would marry on November 16, 1968 in California. After they started their family, she became a homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. She was a very caring woman, and loving wife. She enjoyed her family, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and reading. She is survived by her husband, Ben of Hallsville; children, Jason (Angie) Tindle of Olathe, Kan. and Tammy (Anthony) Dixon of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Jacob and Aiden Smith, Jolee Tindle, and Abigail (Britton) Derrick; great-grandson, Jude Derrick; siblings, Larry (Janice) Gerhart of Lee's Summit, David (Tammy) Gerhart of Columbia, Joyce (Larry) Lierman of Independence, Norris (Lesley) Gerhart of California, and Nancy (Dennis) Bochat of Jefferson City; sister-in-law, Anne Gerhart of Overland Park, Kan.; many nieces and nephews, and loving extended family. Her parents and brother, Leland Gerhart, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, with service to follow at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 9433 Olive Street, Suite 100, St. Louis, MO 63132; or the American Cancer Society.
