J. Gary Pasley

J. Gary Pasley, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at Adams Street Place. He was born on January 13, 1937 in Mexico, Missouri, a son of the late E.T. and Neva Pearl (Nester) Pasley. He was united in marriage on October 10, 1959 in Fulton to Donna Leonard, who survives at the home. Gary graduated from Auxvasse High School and received his Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a salesman for KCRG for many years and was co-owner of The Wedding Place in Jefferson City. Gary was a member of the Downtown Rotary, the Jefferson City Country Club and enjoyed singing with the Jefferson City Cantorum. He was an avid golfer and cherished the time spent with his daughters and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna; daughters: Maritte Lynn Hein (Todd) of Orlando, Florida, and Meredith Michelle "Shelly" Vance (Bion) of Kansas City; brother: Rex Pasley (Lou) of Columbia; and five grandchildren: Matthew Hein, Alex Hein, Addison Vance, Mallory Vance and Elizabeth Vance. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bart Larson officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Compassus.
