Kelly Denise (Veit) Dye

Kelly Denise (Veit) Dye, age 53, of New Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. Kelly was a Callawegian through and through, graduating from New Bloomfield High School and living in Callaway County most of her life. She worked as an office manager at Remax in Jefferson City for several years. Most recently she was a fabricator at AZZ in New Bloomfield. She was diagnosed with lung cancer last fall and fought cancer with a strength and peace that comes from a life of Christ. She never gave up and kept positive. She enjoyed to crochet, practicing her skill for over 42 years. Most everyone she knows has an afghan, rug or hat that she has crafted for them. She loved a road trip to visit family and friends. She was always ready to go to a garage sale, or visit a friend over a good meal or to play a game of cards. Her greatest achievement was being a mother to Nick Dye and grandmother to Kately Ann Wilson and Wesley James Wilson. She leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, her sister, Vanessa Veit, and brother, Billy Veit.
