Mae Dean Peck, 96, of Eldon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Eldon Nursing & Rehab in Eldon, Missouri. She was born January 25, 1922, in Mt. Pleasant, Missouri, the daughter of the late Martin Buckner and Ida (Dorl) Graham. On September 5, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, she was united in marriage to Gordon Eugene Peck who preceded her in death on November 17, 2007. Survivors include: daughters, Carolyn Cardwell of Eldon, Mo., Mary Lou and Gary Stegner of Jefferson City, Mo.; son, Larry and Letha Peck of California, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. A son in law, Clifford Cardwell; four brothers, Carl, John, H.N. "Jack" and Woodrow; two sisters, Freda Graham and Nellie White preceded her in death. Mae Dean was baptized October 29, 1933 in the Saline Creek on her Uncle Gottlob's farm. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. where she became very active in the quilter circle and she sang in the choir. As a child she was involved in the Christian Endeavor Youth Group with the Mt. Pleasant Church. She was on the board of Eldon Community Fair and was treasurer of the Moreau Fire Protection District for 15 years. She greatly enjoyed quilting and was a member of several quilting clubs. Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Shirley Williams and Rev. Bill Foglesong officiating. Interment will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, Mo. Memorials in her name are suggested to the First Christian Church of Eldon, Mo. or the Central Missouri Honor Flight. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
