Linda Luann Brodhacker Gash, 64, of Columbia, a former resident of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Linda was born on March 19, 1954 in Jefferson City, a daughter of Joseph L. and Phyllis J. (Wilkerson) Brodhacker. She was married on July 21, 1989 in Columbia, to Jim Dean Gash. Linda was a 1972 graduate of Jefferson City High School and went on to receive her bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Linda was employed as an art teacher in several schools through the central Mo. area for over 34 years. She retired from Frederick Douglass High School in Columbia in August 2012. Survivors include: her husband, Jim Gash; one daughter, Breanna (Brian) Crowder; one son, Brent Gash; one step-daughter, Casey Reeves; one brother, David (Tracy) Brodhacker; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Brodhacker and Sharon Brodhacker; and one granddaughter, Quinleigh Jeanne Charlotte Crowder. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Opal Wilkerson; her parents, Joe and Phyllis Jeanne Brodhacker; and three brothers, Fredric Brodhacker, Jon Brodhacker, and Joseph Brodhacker. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 with her memorial service following at 1:00 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. Interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Linda Gash Memorial Fund.
