Amy Lynn Evans

Amy Lynn (Idel) Evans, 52, of Eureka, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born on November 5, 1965, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a daughter of Harvey and Doris (Castaldi) Idel. Amy graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1984, and also Missouri State University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing. She was employed by Qiagen and has worked in Medical Sales most of her career. Amy was a loving mother to her kids and especially loved being chauffeur/taxi for their sports and other activities. Amy loved spending time with her friends and family going to sporting events, going to the beach, having coffee with friends, relaxing on her deck. She was adored by everyone. She is survived by one daughter: Kenady Evans and one son: Brock Evans, both of the home in Eureka; two step-sons: Austin and Connor Evans of Eureka; her parents, Harvey and Doris (Castaldi) Idel; one brother: Mark (Tonya) Idel of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two nephews and one niece and one great-nephew; and her long-time companion, Darius Struemph. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka, Missouri with Fr. Leo Speziah officiating. Friends will be received following the prayer service until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in Jefferson City, Missouri from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 4:15 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kenady and Brock Evans Education Fund.
