Wilma Anna Scheperle, 93, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018, on her husband Raymond's birthday. She was born June 29, 1924, in Stringtown, Missouri, the daughter of Herman Kautsch and Lydia (Koestner) Kautsch. She attended Stringtown School, St. John's Lutheran School at Stringtown and later graduated from Jefferson City High School. On April 21, 1946, Wilma was united in marriage to Raymond Scheperle at St. John's Lutheran Church (Stringtown) Lohman, Missouri. She was a devoted Christian loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and worked with the family business, Scheperle Realty. Wilma loved quilting, needlework, embroidering, gardening, "puttin' it up", playing dominos, puzzling and collecting her favorite teddy bears. She was a lifelong member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod attending St. John's Lutheran Church at Stringtown, Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City and St. John's Lutheran Church in Schubert. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary for 54 years. Wilma is survived by: two daughters: Judith (Marcus) Kollmeyer of Jefferson City, Yvonne Scheperle Bronner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two sons: Rev. Gerald (Paula) Scheperle of Jefferson City, Dr. Mark Scheperle of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; Amy (Frank) Harles, Sara Nosovitch, Joseph (Tasha) Kollmeyer, Caleb (Kim) Kollmeyer, Jason Bronner, Elizabeth (Ajay) Raj, Dr. Rachel Scheperle, Christina (Dr. William) Whipple; 10 great-grandchildren: Logan Nosovitch, Aidan Nosovitch, Jonah Nosovitch, Julia Kollmeyer, Cody Kollmeyer, Hannah Kollmeyer, Kaitlynn Kollmeyer, Joshua Kollmeyer, Matthew Kollmeyer and Elias Raj; brother-in-law Vernon Farris. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Raymond Scheperle. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Additional visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the St. John's Lutheran Church at (Stringtown) Lohman. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church (Stringtown) Lohman officiating will be Pastor Samuel Powell and Chaplain Jim Mueller. Interment will be in the St. John's Stringtown Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Raymond and Wilma Scheperle Memorial Seminary Scholarship Fund or charity of donor's choice.
