Roy Dale Watson, 64, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by many loved ones. He was born March 6, 1953 in Salem, Missouri, the son of the late J.T. and Maudelene (Wilson) Watson. He was united in marriage on April 3, 1976 in New Haven, Missouri, to Molly Stone. He was a graduate of Hermann High School. Roy once owned his own logging business, and then later was employed by Canam Steel, Gastineau Lumber and Pallet Company and Gastineau Log Homes. His greatest enjoyment besides his grandchildren was his volunteer work at Capital Region Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Molly, of the home; daughters, Jennifer (Gary) Miller of Jefferson City, Mo., JJ (Matt Krawczyk) Metz of Wentzville, Mo.; brothers, Floyd (Diana) Watson of Jefferson City, Mo., Ray Watson of Hermann, Mo.; sisters, Rose Hanger of Jefferson City, Mo., Edna (George) Littrell of Hermann, Mo.; grandsons, Hayden and Noah Miller; granddaughter, Lillian Miller; brother-in-law, Richard (Chong) Stone of Texas, sisters-in-law, Mary (Dan Scharfenberg) Phillips of Washington, Mo., Debra (Dick) Vandergriffe of New Haven, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great- nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gertie Holland; niece, Michelle Watson; great-niece, Brittany Mendenhall; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Holland and Herman Hanger. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3 at Union Hill Baptist Church Activity Center, Holts Summit, Mo., with a gathering of family and friends to follow.
