Martha Sue Morris

Martha Sue Morris, 95, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 21, 1922 at her home in Moberly, Missouri, a daughter of the late Fred and Minnie Cooper Breusch. She was married on July 25, 1942 in Moberly, to the late Charles W. Morris for 70 wonderful years. Martha attended White Grade School and graduated from Moberly High School in 1939 before attending Moberly Junior College in 1941. Martha and her husband moved around to different states due to him being in the military. Together, they settled in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1949 and owned Schumate Chapel Mobile Homes, Inc. Martha was a homemaker, loved to sew, cook and enjoyed helping her husband design their earth contact home. She dedicated her whole life to her husband and raising her five children and grandchildren and took great pride in her home. She is survived by her children: Dr. Charles D. Morris (Sue) of Columbia, Dale R. Morris (Linda) of Jefferson City, Carlos M. Morris (Sharon) of DeSoto, Kevin A. Morris (Nicole) of Jefferson City, Kara S. Suthoff of Jefferson City; one brother: Richard Breusch of Moberly; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Melissa Morris in 1981 and Kevin Michael in 1996. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Sam Powell officiating. Entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
