Leroy Earl Woodling

Leroy Earl Woodling, 86, of Holts Summit, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at his home. He was born on October 8, 1932 in Jerico Springs, Missouri, a son of the late James and Lula Frances (Beydler) Woodling. Leroy was united in marriage to Connie Burns on August 15, 1956, in Jerico Springs. He graduated from Jerico Springs High School. Leroy served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955. He was employed for many years with Burns Trucking in Kansas City until his retirement in 1997. Leroy's passion was spending time on the Missouri River fishing. He also enjoyed hunting but cherished the times spent with family and friends. Leroy is survived by his children: Leonard Woodling of Holts Summit, Wade Woodling (Kathy) of Holts Summit, Lucille Goff of Holts Summit, Brian Woodling (Susan) of Jefferson City and Shelley Reed (Jeff) of Holts Summit; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, and three brothers. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery with full military honors.
