Alphia M. Witham

Alphia M. Witham, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born on January 26, 1927 in Henley, the daughter of the late Saborn and Ollie (Phillips) Robinett. Alphia was united in marriage on December 21, 1947 in Jacksonville, Illinois, to Harland Witham, who preceded her in death on January 31, 1995. Alphia graduated from Eugene High School in 1946 and attended Brown Business College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for 17 years from 1959 until 1976. She was employed as an assistant county clerk in Morgan County, Illinois, from 1976 until her retirement in 1980. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Alphia was preceded in death by her 10 siblings. Per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. Expressions of sympathy can be made to American Heart Association.
