Donald Eugene Dunnavant

Donald Eugene Dunnavant, 76, of Fulton, was called to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1941 in St. Louis, the son of the late Joseph Clarence Dunnavant and the late Eva Fay (Potts) Dunnavant. On December 24, 1961, Don was united in marriage to Doris (Branch) Dunnavant. She survives his passing. A dedicated employee, Don worked as a lineman for the City of Fulton Electric Department for 36 years. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, and watching sports on television. While he enjoyed those activities, spending time with his grandchildren brought him the most pleasure. Don was a man of great faith and was a member of Hams Prairie Christian Church. Those remaining to treasure his memory include his wife of 55 years, Doris; sons, Donald Edward Dunnavant and his wife Stephanie, and Ronald Keith Dunnavant and his wife Kay; three grandchildren, Cooper, Ellie, and Kasey; and four step-great-grandchildren, Braedon, Daesin, Trae, and Ryder. Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Carl, Samuel, Frank, Ted, and Joseph. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Don Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
