Lynne Theresa Brennan-Howk

Lynne Theresa Brennan-Howk, age 56, of Rolla, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. She was born on January 28, 1961 in Hicksville Long Island, New York, to the late William Brennan and Jean (Lonergan) Brennan. Lynne married the love of her life, Kenneth Howk on December 25, 1998 in Jefferson City, Mo. Lynne spent much of her early life in Nuremberg and Munich, Germany. She attended Rolla High School, and was a graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. with a bachelor degree in English Literature. Lynne loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and her many pets. Lynne loved playing tennis, cooking, music, gardening, attending concerts, the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants, and Notre Dame and Mizzou football. She saw the beauty and art in the world and chose to see the best qualities of those she met. Lynne wanted to sing in the choir of Heaven, so from her family and friends, "sing away Lynne, we're listening." Lynne will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: her husband, Kenny Howk of Rolla; a son, Anthony Dale Howk and wife Becky of Rocky Mount, Mo.; two brothers, William Brennan of Rolla and Robert Brennan and wife Marian of Tebbetts, Mo.; one sister, Barbara (Brennan) Schubring of Rolla; one granddaughter, Jade Alexis Howk of Rocky Mount, Mo.; and five nieces and nephews, Amanda Schubring, Justin Schubring, William Brennan, Michael Brennan and Kelsey Brennan. A memorial service for Lynne T. Brennan-Howk will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the ALS Association St. Louis Regional Chapter.
