Luella May Adams, 79, of Jefferson City, died Monday, October 2, 2017, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on January 16, 1938, in Millard, Missouri, the daughter of the late Samuel Alva Salisbury and Frances Kathern Buck Salisbury. She was married on March 2, 1957, in Kirksville, Missouri, to James Andrew Adams who survives at the home. Mrs. Adams was an Account Receivable Clerk for many years at the former Charles Still Osteopathic Hospital. A homemaker, she enjoyed bowling through the years with the Swingsters Bowling League. Other survivors include two children, Linda (Randy) Bellinger, Jefferson City; and Dr. Andrew Adams, Sylva, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Matthew Bellinger and Brandon Bellinger, both of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by five sisters, her twin-sister, Leona Fay Dobbs; Juanita Basler; Pearl Russell; Marie Barnett; and Lucille Parker; and one brother, Samuel Salisbury. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or a charity of the donor's choice.
