Virginia M. Ehrhardt, 90, of Honey Creek, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017, at her residence. She was born on March 22, 1927, in Osage Bluff, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Irene (Kraus) Brand. Irene passed away nine days after Virginia's birth, Andrew then met and married Anna Krueger. On June 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Herbert L. Ehrhardt; he preceded her in death on November 30, 2001. Virginia attended school at Trinity Lutheran School in Jefferson City. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church-Honey Creek and the Ladies Aid Quilting Group. Virginia worked as a cook for three years at Immanuel Lutheran School; Trinklein's Nursery for over 10 years and was a Cole County Election Poll worker for 30 years until 1994. She enjoyed her home, gardening, quilting and especially loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Judy Meisel (John Lee) of Lohman, Linda Loesch (Larry) of Jefferson City, Edwin J. Ehrhardt (Judy) of Honey Creek, Loretta Schulte (John) of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother: Anna (Krueger) Brand; husband: Herbert; daughter: Irma Louise Ehrhardt; sister: Ruth Brand and a grandson: Max Volkart. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Honey Creek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Honey Creek with Rev. Jeffrey Shanbacher officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery- Honey Creek. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church at Honey Creek, Calvary Lutheran High School or Hospice Compassus.
