Mary Carolyn Shelton

Mary Carolyn Shelton, 70, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on December 24, 1946 in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late William and Emma G. (Mickelis) Jeffery. On August 19, 1982, she was united in marriage to Ronald Shelton. He preceded her in death in September 1997. Mary attended Jefferson City Public Schools and worked for over 26 years as a housekeeper at Taylor's Cottage Court until her retirement. She enjoyed puzzles, Facebook, dancing, crocheting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter: Sheila Nandory (Todd) of Elston; grandchildren: T.J. Nandory and Caitlin Nandory, both of Elston; one great-granddaughter: Hannah Nandory; brothers: Dennis Jeffery and Steven Jeffery, both of Jefferson City; sisters: Anna Heislen of Jefferson City and Pamela Jeffery of Holts Summit. Mary was preceded in death by her father: William in 1969; her mother: Emma in 2003; and siblings: William Jeffery, Ronald Jeffery, and Tina Jeffery. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will be private at Riverview Cemetery.
