Raymond Frank Bock, 92, of Westphalia, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Westphalia Hills. He was born on August 11, 1924, in Westphalia, the son of the late Henry M. and Mary (Schwartz) Bock. Raymond served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage on August 29, 1951, in Loose Creek, to Mary Louise Catherine Kliethermes, who preceded him in death on November 10, 2010. Raymond worked in construction as a finish carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 544 both in Westphalia. Raymond enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, and woodworking. Survivors include one son, Raymond A. Bock, Westphalia; one sister, Regina "Jean" (Wilfred) Kempker, Westphalia; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Roger Bock; one sister, Celestine "Sally" Bure; and two brothers, Alphonse Bock and Anthony "Tony" Bock. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Thursday, June 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Mark S. Smith officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 116, Westphalia, MO 65085.
