Chris David Hurlbut

Chris David Hurlbut, age 59, of Russellville, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 28, 2017, at his home. He was born August 30, 1957, in Stella, Mo., the son of David Hurlburt of St. Martins, Mo., who survives and Carolyn Goodrich Hurlbut, who preceded him in death, and step-mother Nancy who survives. He was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. Chris was united in marriage June 14, 1986, in Frankenstein Mo. to Sharon Starke Hurlbut. He was employed as a manager of Green Horizon Nursery. Chris enjoyed rock collecting, making pottery from clay to product, and planning trips to Utah. Chris enjoyed anything outdoors, especially camping in his truck under the stars. He will be missed dearly. Along with his wife, Sharon, he is survived by two daughters: Danielle (David) Briot, Jefferson City, Mo. and Jessica Thompson, Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren: Holden Libbert, Haley Libbert, Lilly Briot, and Caraline Thompson; two sisters: Julie (Robert) Mosby, St. Louis, Mo. and Angela Beth (Steven) Carroll, Hannibal, Mo. Chris was preceded in death by his mother and both sets of grandparents. A private family service will be held at a later date.
