Kevin Douglas LeCuru

Kevin Douglas LeCuru, 40, of Bonnots Mill, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at his home. He was born March 13, 1977 in Jefferson City, the son of Mark and Kathryn "Kate" Sandbothe LeCuru. Kevin attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and was a 1995 graduate of Blair Oaks High School. Kevin was previously employed with Winnelson of Jefferson City and currently with Riback Plumbing Supply where he was a plumbing estimator. He enjoyed music, collecting guns, lifting weights, being on the river and most of all spending time with friends and family. He cherished being an uncle to Cody and Bo. He is survived by his father: Mark LeCuru (Deb Peterson) of Taos; sister: Tanya Pleus (Alan) of Taos; nephews: Cody and Bo Pleus; maternal grandmother: Alma Sandbothe of Taos; his aunts and uncles: Donna Dickey, of Taos, Lisa Norment (Gary) of Taos, Kristy Strope (Gary) of Taos, Alan LeCuru (Phyllis) of Wardsville, Eric LeCuru (Bonnie) of Wardsville, Scott LeCuru of Taos, Rhonda LeCuru of Jefferson City, Jane Schaben (Fulton) of Westphalia, Fred Sandbothe of Williamsburg, Kenny Sandbothe (Shelle) of Taos, Deb Klebba (Rick) of Osage Bend, Donna Koelling (Bruce) of Osage Bend, Jerry Sandbothe of Taos and Luke Sandbothe (Jennifer) of Taos. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn "Kate" LeCuru; maternal grandfather: Ed Sandbothe; paternal grandparents: Urban and Elsie LeCuru and three uncles: Dennis Sandbothe, Warren LeCuru and Keith LeCuru. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Taos Knights of Columbus Hall where a prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. I. C. Medina officiating. A gathering to honor Kevin's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Taos Knights of Columbus Hall. The family invites everyone to go in procession to the Osage River in Bonnots Mill to pause and honor Kevin and his mother's love for the Osage River. The procession will then continue to the Cadet Creek Cemetery where Kevin will be laid to rest. A meal will follow at the Taos Knights of Columbus. Kevin would want you to dress causal and would request no flowers, your presence alone is enough. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
