Tammy S. (Bond) Goben Luikart, age 55 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017, at home surrounded by family. Tammy was born November 3, 1961, in Jefferson City, Mo., a daughter of Ralph Sr. and Carolyn (Russell) Bond. She was married on June 25, 2011, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Terry Luikart. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Tammy was a 1980 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Tammy was the Clerical Services Supervisor with the Commercial Motor Vehicle Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Her expertise was recognized and respected at the state and national level. Tammy attended numerous national conferences and presented updated training for troop commercial vehicle inspectors throughout the state on a regular basis for many years. Tammy retired in 2009 after 27 honorable years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a proud active member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Quarter Century Club. Tammy's family was the absolute joy of her life - she loved being a "Mamaw" more than anything. She enjoyed swimming and shopping with her grandchildren, watching the sunrise at their lake condo, and deer and bird watching from her sunroom. She was an extremely creative person and shared her talents of cross stitching, knitting, nature photography and coloring. Survivors include: her husband, Terry Luikart; two children, Erik Goben and his wife Jessica of Jefferson City, Mo. and Sarah Goben of Jefferson City, Mo.; two step-children, Brad Luikart and his wife Catherine of Rogersville, Mo. and Jennifer Isaacs and her husband Jeff of Wardsville, Mo.; two brothers, Ralph Bond Jr. of Willits, California and Mark Bond and his wife Monica of Eugene, Mo.; three sisters, Glenda Luecke Bullock and her husband Dennis of Imperial, Mo., Judy Bond Morrison and her husband Rob of Brazito, Mo., and Danyele Chamberlain of Willits, California; two grandchildren, Shelby Goben and Lucas Goben; four step-grandchildren, Joshua Isaacs, Makenna Luikart, Riley Luikart and Caroline Luikart; and her spoiled fur babies, Marley and Maddie. She was preceded in death by her mother and a granddaughter, Nicole Sue Robertson. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017. A Celebration of Tammy's Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Daniel Hilty officiating. Private entombment will be at the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Dr. Tamara Hopkins Patient Assistant Fund or Hospice Compassus.
