Jimmie Dean Hagar

Jimmie Dean Hagar, 76, of Eugene, formerly of Springfield, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was born August 2, 1940 in Marshall, Arkansas, the son of the late Perry and Pearl Watts Hagar. Jimmie was a graduate of Halfway High School in Halfway, Mo. He was employed with the State of Missouri in the Department of Agriculture, was a heavy equipment operator in Springfield, and was most recently a barber, where he retired. Jimmie loved riding motorcycles with his friend, Ben Viles. He is survived by three children: Brad Price (Tamara) of Nixa, Sonya Barnes (Bryce) of Ft. Meyers, Florida and Jimmy Allen Hagar of Springfield; one brother: Dave Hagar (Sue) of Smithville; his caregiver and niece: Liz Hagar-Mace (Thom Mace) of Eugene; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son: Hugh Dean Hagar. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will be private for the family.
