Reese Ella Werner, age 4, of Osage Beach, was surrounded by her loving family when she received her angel wings and went to be with God on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was born a daughter to Ryan E. Werner and Jessica D. James on October 29, 2012. Reese had a love of life and always had a smile on her face even when going through her cancer treatments. She loved her family, especially her sister and best friend, Rylee. Reese was a beautiful four year old girl with a love for pretty dresses, all things princess, high heels, Disney movies, being outdoors, swinging, playing, boating and swimming. Smart, kind, sweet and sassy are just a few words that describe her joyful spirit. Reese was very strong through her year long battle with cancer. She was not afraid and told her family at Christmas she was going to get her angel wings soon and go see her great-grandpa in heaven. On Monday, June 19, 2017, she told both her parents she was going, when asked where she was going, her reply was "I'm going to God". Reese is survived by her parents: Ryan E. Werner of Osage Beach and Jessica James of Jefferson City, her sister: Rylee Elizabeth Farris; paternal grandparents: Carol Culley (Stan) of Sunrise Beach; maternal grandparents: Kevin James of Russellville and Marian James of Jefferson City; maternal great-grandmother: Beverly Phillips of Lake St. Louis; aunts and uncles: Jennifer Karr (Jon) of Jefferson City, Ashley Fisher (Stephen) of Russellville, Jeremy James (Jessica Buck) of Jefferson City, Janet Birdsong (Rich) of Olathe, Kan., Julie Rambo of Osage Beach and David Wilcox (Marge) of Colorado as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather: Don E. Werner; uncles: Mark A. Werner and David Rambo; paternal great-grandparents: Frank and Marie Werner and Harry and Marilyn Wilcox; maternal great-grandparents: Charles and Kathleen Purkett, Ivan James, and Don Phillips.
