Dale Lee Rowles, 53, of Wardsville, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017, at SSM Health Center/St. Mary's. He was born February 29, 1964, in California, Missouri, the son of Donald Lee Rowles and Norma Jean (Stock) Martin. On September 20, 1986, he was united in marriage at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville to Charlene Boeckman. She survives at the home. Dale was a 1982 graduate of California High School. He was formally employed with Al Scheppers Motor Company. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, California. Dale had a passion for farming, especially horses. He enjoyed shoeing show horses, hunting deer, coon, and quail and going to dirt track races. Dale was very much involved in his children's lives, being active in their 4-H groups and showing cattle with them at county fairs throughout the state. Survivors include his wife: Charlene Rowles; one son Darren Rowles of the home; daughter: Rachel Strange (Kyle) of Jefferson City; mother: Norma Jean Martin of Clarksburg; one brother: Justin Martin (Sally) of Clarksburg; one sister: Lexi Hall (David) of California; two step-brothers: Jimmie Martin (Stella) of Orlando, Florida and Ed Martin of California; and one step-sister: Phyllis Culbertson (Bill) of Lake Forest, California. He was preceded in death by his father: Donald Rowles and step-father: Keith Martin. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with a prayer service to be held at 3:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, California where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Evandro Kopper officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Cemetery, Wardsville. Expression of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
