She was born in Jefferson City to the late John Nicholas and Mamie (Smallwood) Schneider. "Bea" as most knew her, grew up in the Jefferson City area. The daughter of a professional horse trainer, throughout her childhood she loved horseback riding and going to horse shows. She was united in marriage in 1944 to the late Roy Maxwell Roberts Jr. In 1950 they moved to Harrison, Arkansas where they raised their family. Bea will be remembered for her marvelous cooking and baking skills. She loved to travel and see the countryside, especially by train. After 25 years as an audit clerk with the Missouri Department of Revenue she retired in 1989 and moved to Springfield, Missouri to be closer to family.
