Chesney Thomas Rush

Chesney Thomas Rush, 9, of Eugene, Mo., passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at his residence in Eugene, Mo. He was born August 29, 2007, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Roy Dale and Torey Elizabeth (Wright) Rush, who survive of the home. Chesney attended the Tuscumbia School System where he played basketball and baseball. He was a member of the T-Town 4H, serving as vice president. Chesney spent six years showing cattle and hogs through T-Town 4-H Club at local county fairs. He enjoyed playing Upwards basketball and he attended Eldon Church of the Nazarene. Other survivors include his brothers, Roy Dakota Rush and Grayson Rush of the home; paternal grandfather, Sam L. Rush of Eugene, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Tom and Patti Wright of Eldon, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Teddy and Jenny Wright of Eldon, Mo., Matt and Jennifer Kempker of Eugene, Mo., Jason and Stacy Rush of Eldon, Mo.; cousins, Hayden and Bailey Wright, Brenden and Connor Kempker, Elizabeth and Austin Rush; and many extended family and friends. Chesney was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Rush. Visitation will be Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo. Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 22, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eldon Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jerry W. Frye officiating. Interment will follow at Rush Chapel Cemetery in Eugene, Mo.
