Steven Maxwell Clemens, 27, of St. Peters, Mo., passed away Friday, December 23, 2016, in St. Peters, Mo. Steven (Max) was born August 13, 1989, in Yankton, S.D., to his parents John Clemens and Joni Weinbaum. He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 2007. He completed U.S. Navy Basic Training at RTC Great Lakes, Ill., in 2008. He went on to obtain his CNA certification. Steven will always be remembered as a smart, funny, and very caring person whose love of dogs, children and the disadvantaged was immense. Steven suffered valiantly from his battle with Bipolar Affective Disorder since early adolescence. He is survived by his father and step-mother, John and Laney Clemens of Jefferson City; his mother, Joni Weinbaum of St. Peters; sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Dwight Trollinger of St. Louis; brothers, Lucas Clemens of Lee's Summit, Charles Clemens of Jefferson City; both his grandmothers and his grandfather; as well as numerous aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers or donations, memorial contributions can be made to The Treatment Advocacy Center at www.treatmentadvocacycenter.org. A private memorial service was held for family and close friends. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park in Sioux City, Iowa, at a later date. Cremation services were handled by the Cremation Society of Missouri, 636-946-9896.
