Linda Kay (Morgan) Nugent

Linda Kay (Morgan) Nugent, 49, of St. Thomas, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born October 23, 1968 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Gerald Thomas and Velda Gean (Uptegrove) Morgan. Linda attended St. Thomas parochial school and was a graduate Blair Oaks High School and went on to attend college at Lincoln University. She was employed at Hardee's as a Crew Manager and Scholastic Inc. in the office. Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, swimming, boating and family trips to Branson. She especially loved spending quality time with her sons and daughter whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her children: Sean Opperman and Brandon Nugent, both of St. Thomas, and Tracie Nugent of Cadet; parents: Gerald and Velda Morgan of Meta; sister: Pamela Sue Gibson (Ray) of Cabool; granddaughter: Riley Ann Smith; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Linda was preceded in death by both of her maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, and brother: Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Morgan II on August 5, 1990. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Cemetery in Mary's Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her family.
