Richard Wayne Jones

Richard "Ricky" Wayne Jones, 53, of Chamois, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1964, in St. Louis, a son of Larry and Jane (Slusser) Jones. Ricky worked as a mechanic for MFA for many years. He loved building anything mechanical; riding his trike motorcycle he built, and his dog "Muttley". Ricky especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren; he had a big heart and was always there for anyone that needed his help. Along with his parents, he is survived by his children: Richard L. Jones (Selina) of Moscow Mills, Mindy Vines (Shawn) of Haynesville, La.; brothers: Tim Jones (Joy) of St. Louis, Donnie Jones (Theresa), and Mike Jones, both of Chamois; grandchildren: Aaliyah Vines, Jayce Vines, R.J. Jones and Adam Jones. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Merrie Jones and Jamey Jones; maternal uncle: Wayne Slusser and maternal and paternal grandparents. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Chamois Lions Club Community Center. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chamois Lions Club Community Center, with Pastor Tim Cobillas officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Diabetes Association.
