Paul Raymond Distler Sr.

Paul Raymond Distler Sr., age 86, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his home. Paul was born April 19, 1931 in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was the son of Oscar Henry and Antonia A. (Dulle) Distler. On July 25, 1953, Paul was united in marriage to Earline Pauline Eiken at St. Francis Xavier Church in Taos, Missouri. They shared 64 years of marriage together at the time of his death. Paul worked for Falstaff and Fechtel's Beverage before moving to Lake Ozark, Missouri in May of 1968. Paul and Earline owned and operated Paul's News Agency and the Villager Tavern. Paul also worked and retired from AT&T. Paul was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and wrestling. Paul cherished time with family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife, Earline of Lake Ozark, Missouri; five children, Becky Distler of Brumley, Missouri, Paul Distler Jr. and wife Diana of Eldon, Missouri, Sandy O'Connell and Terry Salisbury of Kaiser, Missouri, Lori Distler and Rick Wallace of Russellville, Missouri, and Dale Distler and Lisa Cochran of Kaiser, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; his sister, Theresa Hilke of Jefferson City, Missouri; brothers; Vincent Distler Sr. of Taos, Missouri and Jerome Distler of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother and three grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017, 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 -12:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Osage Beach, Missouri. Memorials donations are suggested to the family or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
