Margaret L. Brondel

Margaret "Margie, Mickey" L. Brondel, 80, of St. Martins, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born November 6, 1935, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Otto and Nora (DeBroeck) Mueller. On October 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to Raymond Anthony Brondel. He survives at the home. Margie was a graduate of St. Peter High School. She was a homemaker and childcare provider for 20 years. At the age of 42 she graduated from Nichols Career Center's LPN program starting her nursing career, where she retired from Capital Region Medical Center. Margie was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling in the winter to Texas and camp hosting at Riverview Campground, Lake of the Ozarks. Her hobbies included Swedish weaving, needlework, cooking, baking, gardening and she also enjoyed happy hour and playing fast-track. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by seven children, Rick Brondel (Teresa), Les Brondel (Terri), Jeff Brondel (Karen), Gina Angerer (Bob), Bruce Brondel (Doris), all of St. Martins, Brad Brondel of Jacksonville, Fla. and Julie Kempker (Ben) of Henley; fiancé of her son Frank, Nikki Monning; three siblings, Julie Weber of St. Louis, Nora Lee Conrad of Jefferson City and Gilbert Mueller (Myrtis) of Lake Charles, La.; 13 grandchildren, Myrilla Markway, Tory Brondel, Taylor Knoll, Alex Brondel, Megan Sommerer, Danielle Marsch, Kaylie Angerer, Kara Carr, Jordyn Brondel, Elizabeth Brondel, Kellen Brondel Cody Drennan and Olivia Kempker; nine great-grandchildren, Claire, Henry, Amelia, Macy, Nicholas, Aliyah, Parker, Miles, Knox and one great-grandchild due in May. She was preceded in death by one son, Frank Brondel on November 7, 2009; her parents; and four siblings, Catherine Siebeneck, Ruth Mertens, Eddie Mueller and Adell Clark. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors where a prayer service will be held at 3:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 28, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the St Martin Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Martin Catholic Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Martin Catholic Church and or St Martin Catholic School.
