Rosemary L. Wohlt

Rosemary L. Wohlt, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Adams Street Place. She was born January 24, 1925, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Albert B and Rosa J. (Schmidt) Case. On October 25, 1947, she was united in marriage to Albert G. Wohlt at Trinity Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death. Rosemary was a 1943 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was a long time fixture at the Jefferson City News Tribune, having been employed there from 1949 until her retirement as Circulation Manager in 1988. Rosemary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Evening Guild and was part of the Trinity Lutheran School Alumni Association. She was also an active volunteer and auxiliary member of Capital Region Medical Center as well as the American Legion Auxiliary. Among those who survive and mourn her death is her brother: Albert B. Case Jr., and his wife, Lu, Jefferson City, five nephews, one niece and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Russell Bowder officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hospice Compassus.
