Mary A. Luebbert

Mary A. Luebbert, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Jefferson City Manor in Jefferson City. She was born on January 27, 1926, in Jefferson City, the daughter of William and Rose Farris. She was united in marriage on June 29, 1946, in Jefferson City, to John A. Luebbert, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1992. During World War II, Mary worked for Oberman Factory, she then later worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory and later for St. Mary's Health Center as a nurse's aide for 20 years. She enjoyed casting a line while fishing, watching many shows on television, word search book and home canning. She found entertainment listening to the police scanner and most of all serving our Lord as a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter: Carolyn Oliver of Jefferson City; one son: David A. Luebbert of Jefferson City; one sister: Helen Scheppers of Jefferson City; three grandchildren: Shannon Luebbert, Crystal Binkley and Marcie Oliver; five great-grandchildren: Rachel Luebbert, Ryan Luebbert, Brooke Luebbert, Jayla Binkley, Kayla Oliver; and one great-great grandchild: Lillian Giboney. She was preceded in death by one grandchild: Mary Elizabeth Oliver. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
