Delma S. Seifert

Delma S. Seifert, 72, of Morrison, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri. Delma was born in Chamois, Missouri on June 1, 1944, a daughter of the late Arthur and Margie (McKinney) Walker. Delma graduated from Osage R-1 School in Chamois. She then attended cosmetology school in St. Louis and graduated from there and went to work for four years at MO Gil Beauty Salon in Jennings, Missouri. Delma married her husband Gary Seifert on June 4, 1966. They were married at Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri. Of this union three sons were born, David, Darren and Ronnie. Delma worked on the farm as a partner with Gary until May of 1988 when she opened Delma's Beauty Shop in Morrison. She worked there until retirement in December of 2014. Delma was very active in Assumption Church and her community. She was always quick to help people in need and an anchor to all members of her family. She loved to travel, fish and loved all sports, including the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou Tigers and throwing washers. Delma is survived by her husband Gary; two sons, Darren and Ronnie Seifert of Morrison; three wonderful grandchildren, Tyler, Haylee, and Levi; a great-grandchild, Heidi Lynn Seifert; a sister, Pat Baker and husband Waymon of Brazito, and a brother-in-law, Mark Owens of Linn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David; two sisters, Judy Owens and Alma Reynolds; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Reynolds. Visitation will be held Monday, October 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, and also Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, Morrison. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, Morrison, Missouri, with Father David Means officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Morrison. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Assumption Church, c/o Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home.
