Billy Eugene Patterson

Billy Eugene Patterson, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born August 19, 1934, in Bernie, Missouri, the son of the late Glen Owen and Nezzie Pearl (Craft) Patterson. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage on May 23, 1959, in Bernie, Missouri to Evelyn June Carson, who survives. Billy retired after 20 years from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections as a Probation Parole Officer, retiring after 20 years. He was a member of Capital City Christian Church. He also was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, American Legion, the Navy Enlisted Club, and the Fleet Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of 57 years; two sons, Kent (Lana) Patterson, Greenwood, Ind. and Scott (Dawn) Patterson, Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Blake Patterson, Logan Patterson, Collin Patterson, Brandon Christian, Jennifer Patterson, and Grace Christian; and one sister, Edith Faye Hopkins, Raymore, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Pastor Don Fankhauser officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
